Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract Start Date : October 6, 2025 End Date : January 5, 2026 Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Patient Ratio : 1 : 4 Unit : Emergency Department (40 beds, 130 visits / day) Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license in Maryland or compact state (required for ER nursing jobs in Maryland) Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience At least 1 prior travel nurse assignment Charge nurse experience preferred; must be willing to orient and work as charge RN Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS (required for ER RN roles) Recent experience in a high-volume ED (at least 125 visits / day) Strong prioritization and organizational skills for fast-paced emergency care Two supervisor references required Flu vaccine required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccine not required Experience with Cerner EMR preferred ER RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care to all age groups in a busy Emergency Department Perform triage, IV starts, phlebotomy, and manage ventilated patients Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias, apply isolation precautions, and utilize CPAP / BiPAP Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response Orient and serve as charge nurse as needed Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Cerner EMR Follow all hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards Potential exposure to COVID-19 patients This is an outstanding opportunity for experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses seeking travel nursing jobs or locum tenens assignments in Maryland.
