MUOS Lab & Deployment Technician

Job Description

: Our client, a large defense contractor, has an immediate opening for a MUOS Lab & Deployment Technician to work from their Scottsdale, AZ facility. The MUOS Lab & Deployment Tech will act as a leader and mentor to new technicians in the support of engineering activities such as designing, testing, checking-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser / light transmission devices or specialized test equipment. This may entail performing the following :

• Interprets complex engineering drawings, diagrams and schematics, and understand the necessary interfaces
• Performs complex system level troubleshooting to component level
• Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and troubleshooting functions
• Lays out, builds, calibrates, adjusts, installs and maintains equipment, components, devices or systems

Duties & Tasks

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS : Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a SECRET clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
