The position includes working with a team of healthcare professionals, managing patient ratios of 5 to 6, and utilizing various equipment and electronic medical records systems. Certification in BLS and NIH as well as preferred skills in chemotherapy medication and ACLS are required for this role.

Job Details

Orthopedics unit with a 30-bed capacity and a total staff headcount of 59.

Day Shift includes 1 Charge, 3-4 techs, a restorative tech, 5-6 nurses.

Night Shift includes 1 Charge, 3-4 techs, 5-6 nurses.

Patient Ratios are 5 / 6.

Type of equipment includes Transfer Sliding boards, Hoyer, C-collars, Post-op shoes, JP drains.

EMR used is Meditech, Airstrip.

Job Requirements

NIH certificate of completion / Neuro assessments.

BLS, Chest tube management.

Preferred skills include Chemotherapy medication certification, ACLS, EKG interpretation.

Schedule Information

4 weekend 12-hour shift requirements per schedule; days include Saturday / Sunday nights and Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

Weekend call-ins must be made up.

Must communicate with unit leaders for weekend commitments.

Unit Specific Information

May float to Med-surg, rehab, Tele.

Dress Code : Scrub Color / Attire - Professional navy blue top and bottom.

Unit Standards of Care are attached and must be read and signed prior to starting the contract.
