Job Brief

Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our client. This job involves performing a wide range of duties to install, troubleshoot, and maintain production machinery and facility equipment. You’ll work with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to ensure reliable machine performance. Responsibilities include performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting PLCs and VFDs, as well as welding and fabrication when needed.

What’s a Typical Day Like?

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment.
  • Maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized work area.
  • Comply with work, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) while working indoors and / or outdoors.

What Are the Requirements of the Job?

  • High School Diploma or GED; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (food processing equipment experience desirable)
  • Strong pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and industrial skills; experience with PLC's and VFD's
  • You have the ability to weld.
  • You possess a strong work ethic and commitment to attendance.
  • Able to perform duties independently or with minimal supervision while maintaining a high degree of integrity.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess good troubleshooting, print reading, and electrical skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent changes on the production line.
  • Able to work in a warehouse with temperatures that can range from -10F to above-normal heat conditions.
  • Work in an environment with light dust in the air, flashing lights, sirens, horns, and powered moving equipment operating in proximity
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to move or lift up to 50lbs.
  • Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
  • Ability to utilize hand / eye coordination.
  • Communication skills.
