Establishes, defines, and implements requirements for mission (force) support programs to ensure services and functions are in line with organizational goals and mission requirements.

Conducts program improvement initiatives and influences policy changes for assigned functional areas that involve long-range, highly complex, and often sensitive topics.

Represents AFOSI PJ with a variety of installation and functional area organizations across all DoD-wide (Army, Air Force, Joint bases) serviced installations.

Manages the Execution of AFOSI PJ's Compliance Inspections Programs for Mission Support Functions.

Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.

Employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings and weekends and may be subject to recall.

Special Sensitive Security Clearances. Employee must obtain and maintain a TS-SCI security clearance and access to Special Access Programs. The investigative requirement CANNOT be waived for special sensitive positions.

This is a centrally managed position.

This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP). The employee is subject to random drug testing.

The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing and participation in random drug testing as a condition of employment in accordance with AFM 44-198, Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program.

Limited area of consideration to Command-Wide (SAF) AF Internal or AF DCIPS Candidates only. Applicants must be a current member of SAF to be eligible.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12, or equivalent in other pay systems.

Federal Time-In-Grade (TIG) Requirement for General Schedule (GS) Positions : Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level.

Knowledge of Air Force, DoD, and federal financial, personnel, logistics, communications, computers, and information management processes. Ability to develop supplementation to higher headquarters resource management policy and provide an authoritative source of advice and assistance for region and field commanders in the practice of sound resource management practices.

Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures to develop logistics annexes to plans, to obtain supplies and equipment for the region, and provide travel assistance to personnel.

Knowledge of Air Force logistics management policies and procedures to develop logistics annexes to plans and orders, programming plans, and general support, contingency, and exercise plans.

Knowledge of the missions, functions, goals, objectives, work processes, and sources of funding of budget activities in order to relate needs and accomplishments of services activities to anticipated and actual dollar figures in the budget.

Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors.

Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
