SUMMARY OF POSITION
Develop grassroots programs to achieve success in both state and federal legislative efforts, as well as development, coordination and tracking of PAC fundraising efforts on state and federal level. Efforts would involve organization of events, making presentations to credit unions, and promoting and supporting advocacy efforts to provide a proactive grassroots and fundraising environment to benefit credit union advocacy efforts, with regular travel throughout the states served by CORNERSTONE.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education / Certification :
These characteristics are normally acquired through completion of high school education plus experience in event planning, accounting and general administrative duties.
Required Knowledge :
Knowledge of Credit Unions and / or legislative assistant experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, communication and negotiation skills.Work requires knowledge of meeting planning, general administrative work, accounting and writing. A drivers license is required.
Experience Required :
Experience with meeting coordination and marketing of events. Experience in office administration, marketing and event planning preferred.
Skills / Abilities :
Work requires communication, basic accounting, typing and computer skills. Professional, well developed interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for frequent communication with Credit Union members, employees, and vendors.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
Work requires a combination of sitting and physical. During conferences, seminars and other events, work requires standing and walking for a majority of the day. Frequent lifting of up to 35 pounds is required to stage CU House events including tables and chairs, A-V equipment and podiums. Bending, squatting, twisting, reaching and kneeling are occasionally required when moving job-related materials.
WORKING CONDITIONS
No hazardous or significant unpleasant condition (such as in a typical office).
Travel up to 25% of the time
