Job Description
The Valve Nurse Coordinator reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
The Valve Nurse Coordinator will work in a multidisciplinary environment which will require exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, physicians, clinical and administrative units. The Valve Coordinator provides care coordination, education, and triage for patients in the structural heart clinic. This is a specialized RN role requiring knowledge of general cardiology as well as valvular disease, surgical and nonsurgical approaches to treatment. Knowledge of pre and post care of TAVR and interventional valve procedures. The Valve Coordinator assists the physician with pre / post procedure orders and tests, office evaluation and management of patients.
