Director of Security

Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Director of Security for our Security Department who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Security Director you will :

  • Conduct and direct investigations
  • Coordinate educational programs for the continuing education of the officers
  • Develop, revise, and maintain the Hazardous Weather Plan for the hospital
  • Develop, revise, and maintain the Access Control System
  • Develop, revise, and maintain an off campus shuttle program
  • Develop, revise, and maintain the traffic control and parking program. Where relevant, this role will serve as representative for any jurisdiction specific traffic mandates, programs, or regulations. Duties may include correspondence with county, state, or other local / regional agencies.
  • Develop, revise, and administer the departmental budget
  • Ensures quality outcomes for security department by communicating effectively with security staff and public

Qualifications include :

  • Bachelor's degree or Extensive experience in Hospital Security
  • 2-5 years' experience in management of security preferably in a hospital setting
  • Must possess valid Driver's License
  • Must qualify for a Maryland Special Police Commission (Clean Criminal History required)
  • Work Schedule : Day shift 8am-5pm

    Pay Range : $89,356.80 - $134,035.20

    If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.

    Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as : United States of America (Exempt)
