Responsibilities

• Provides ongoing observation and interpretation of cardiac rhythms; monitors, recognizes and reports cardiac arrhythmias to the Registered Nurse caring for the patient; prepares and maintains telemetry records; and maintains a functioning telemetry system. Performs various other duties related to patient cardiac monitoring and equipment maintenance in both the central monitoring station and on patient care units.
