The Principal Territory Manager position reports to the Regional Business Director (RBD) and is a key field based position within the US Business Team. The Principal Territory Manager will be responsible for all sales and account management related activities in major academic and large community oncology, radiation oncology, and neuro-oncology practices within the territory.
This is a full time, exempt, field-based position that reports to Regional Business Director.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Principal Territory Manager will work closely with RBD & Leadership to identify and successfully execute the following which will be incorporated into their MBO on an annual basis :
- Full ownership of a specific project that supports advancement of the business
- Leadership & or skill development training
- Community / Regional promotional involvement in events for patients and / or HCPs
- Active involvement in national conferences representing region, team and nation
- Serves as a right hand and backup resource for RBD
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by RBD and leadership
- Provide field based promotion and account management activitiesdirected to oncology health care professionals in academic and community settings with an emphasis on neuro-oncologists, neuro-surgeons, radiation oncologists and medical oncologists
- Development and implementation of strategic account plans utilizing a collaborative team approach
- Uncovering business opportunities through customer relationships and key account insights (e.g., practice model, patient care model, etc.)
- Excellence in execution of corporate and regional strategies within assigned geographic area resulting in achievement of business objectives
- Responsible for identifying new business opportunities and grow existing accounts within approved labeling in the territory
- Provide in territory customer service support related to reimbursement and billing activities
- Work closely with Scientific Liaison (SL), Thought Leader Liaison (TLL), Device Support Specialists, in-house Reimbursement, Sales Operations, and the US Business Team
- Comply with all Novocure policies, SOP's and guidelines
- Maintain account / CRM records
- Support patient treatment by working with prescribing physicians and clinical staff to identify and manage patients who received prescriptions and have not yet started therapy or are otherwise on a treatment hold
- Conduct case reviews with the prescribing physicians and clinical staff to discuss patient progress and support continuity of patient care
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE :
Current Novocure employee serving in Senior Territory Manager Position that meets all qualifications & skills of a Senior Territory ManagerMinimum tenure of 2 years in Senior Territory Manager role with NovocureMinimum of 7-9 years of sales experience with a proven track record of successConsistently meets or exceeds sales goals (reaches 95% of goal over a rolling 4 quarters) and models core competencies and behaviorsServes as role model or mentor to team, consistently demonstrates leadership on the teamSuccessfully completed at least one development project such as Field Training Mentor or a special projectPromotion subject to endorsement by the US Leadership Team and Regional Business Director.Proven ability to multi-task numerous responsibilities and to interact effectively with key internal and external stakeholdersSuperior oral and written communication skillsOTHER :
Ability to lift up to 20 poundsAbility to dedicate 40-60% of time to travel on a weekly basis.
