Responsibilities

Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects using industry-standard software.

Analyze project specifications and blueprints to determine material and labor requirements.

Collaborate with project managers to ensure estimates align with project goals.

Monitor and report on project costs and budget adherence.

Research and source potential suppliers and subcontractors for project needs.

Maintain updated knowledge of construction industry trends and pricing.

Develop and maintain a database of historical project costs for future reference.

Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and challenges.

Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations in estimates.

Provide detailed reports and presentations on estimates to stakeholders.

Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement.

Utilize pipelines to forecast potential project success and resource allocation.

Experience / Qualifications

Seasoned commercial estimator with six plus years of experience

Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and building codes.

Commitment to ongoing professional development and skill enhancement.

Experience in cost monitoring and budget adherence reporting.

Familiarity with local building codes and regulations for compliance.

Ability to analyze blueprints and specifications accurately.

Proven track record of sourcing suppliers and subcontractors effectively.

Experience in using pipelines to forecast project success and resource allocation.

Excellent communication skills for collaborating with project managers and stakeholders.

Ability to maintain and update a database of historical project costs.
