Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN with Level 3 or 4 experience and a current OR license for a variable rotating assignment.
Responsibilities
Position is in the NICU of a short term acute care hospitalLevel 3 or 4 NICU patient acuity with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 3Both day (7 : 00-19 : 00) and night (19 : 00-7 : 00) 12-hour shifts availableWeekend shifts are required on a variable and rotating basisOn-call standby is required when not needed on the unitEpic EMR experience is requiredNo required floating between units within the same hospital, but floating to affiliate facilities is expectedMust have a reliable vehicle for travel between potential facilitiesTravelers must be willing to float to affiliated facilities as neededFirst-time travel nurses are welcome to applyMust commit to working 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, or New Year's Day)All travelers are expected to be flexible with floating or assignment changesAny color scrubs are acceptableParking is available at no costPre-assignment and annual online module training is requiredAdditional incentives and mileage reimbursement are provided when floating to designated affiliate sitesHotel accommodations may be provided for consecutive shifts at certain affiliate locationsRequirements
Active Oregon RN license required, or proof of pending licensureMinimum of 1 year Level 3 or 4 NICU nursing experienceCurrent BLS and any other required certifications for NICUEpic charting experience requiredTwo supervisory references from the last three years in a comparable specialty are needed for considerationMust live at least 50 miles from the facility for travel eligibilityFormer permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travelerBenefits
