Associate General Counsel - Commercial & M&A
Location : Wilmington, Ohio (Hybrid - up to 4 remote days / month)
Reports to : Deputy General Counsel
ATSG is seeking a sharp, business-minded Associate General Counsel - Commercial & M&A to lead legal support for high-impact commercial transactions, strategic growth initiatives, and procurement. This is a rare opportunity to join a fast-growing, private equity-backed aviation company and play a key role in enabling expansion across global markets.
You'll be the go-to legal partner for sales, business development, finance, and executive leadership-driving deals, shaping strategy, and helping scale a dynamic business.
What You'll Do
Lead negotiation and execution of complex commercial agreements, including :
- Aircraft leases and charter agreements
- Air transportation services contracts
- Customer and procurement agreements
- Joint ventures and M&A transactions
- Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice with minimal reliance on outside counsel
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support deal execution and growth initiatives
- Enhance contract lifecycle management and legal operations processes
- Manage outside counsel for transactional matters, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality outcomes
- Promote a culture of speed, transparency, and strategic alignment across the business
What We're Looking For
J.D. from an accredited law school; active bar membership5+ years of legal experience, ideally with law firm training in commercial transactions and M&AProven ability to work independently and handle complex deals with confidenceExperience in a private equity-backed or high-growth company is a strong plusExceptional judgment, communication, and stakeholder management skillsA hands-on, team-oriented approach and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentWhy ATSG?
