Otolaryngology Physician Assistant

Marshfield Medical Center is seeking an ENT Surgical Physician Assistant to join our team in Marshfield, Wisconsin . The APC will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care within our Otolaryngology (ENT) department. This position combines both outpatient clinic services and surgical first-assist responsibilities. The APC will collaborate closely with ENT physicians, audiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care across a wide range of ear, nose, throat, head, and neck conditions. You will also be included in a call rotation.

Clinical Duties (Outpatient & Procedural) :

• Perform patient evaluations, including detailed history-taking, physical examinations, and ordering / interpretation of diagnostic tests.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic ENT conditions in accordance with established clinical guidelines.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative assessments and education.
• Conduct minor in-office procedures (e.g., cerumen removal, nasal cautery, flexible laryngoscopy, foreign body removal) as credentialed.
• Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and preventive care.

Surgical First Assist Duties :

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required : Master s Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant

EXPERIENCE

Preferred / Optional : One to two years nursing experience in specialty

CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required : Current State of Wisconsin Nurse License or Nurse Compact License, and Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Licensure. Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire. Additional department-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required (varies by department / location).

Preferred / Optional : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
