Horizons Youth Services is looking for Substance Abuse Counselor for our youth at the Blue Ridge Jo Corps Center!
Job Summary :
The TEAP Specialist (Training and education assistance program) promotes the development of positive social skills and behavior while determining individual / group needs of client(s). The TEAP Specialist conducts / creates programs, seminars, and training for clients as well as treatment and prevention plans. The TEAP Specialist develops and implements Student Employee Assistance Program, which includes assessment, intervention, counseling, relapse prevention, alcohol and drug education.

Experience : One-year experience required.
Education : Bachelors’ Degree with an active, unrestricted substance abuse counselor license and / or certification in accordance with state regulations to practice as an independent practitioner in state where center is located. A waiver may be authorized by DOL subject to a professional development plan.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations : Valid State Drivers’ License, Certified Substance Abuse Counselor
