Overview
NVR, Inc, parent company of Ryan Homes, NVHomes, and Heartland Homes, is opening a new Manufacturing Plant in Haines City, Florida. We are seeking highly motivated, positive, results-oriented individuals to join our team. Primary Responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Production Supervisor, you will have direct responsibility for designated plant production department(s), including leading and driving Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Process Improvement and employee development. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with hourly production employees, building strong, interactive teams, fostering employee engagement, mentoring through listening, coaching and performance reviews, training and onboarding, and reducing employee turnover to achieve plant objectives.
- Manage daily production and schedule requirements for assigned departments to ensure a consistent flow of work.
- Ensure safe working conditions and habits, identify and correct safety concerns, provide safety training, conduct safety audits, and perform accident investigations for incidents within the area of responsibility.
- Ensure assigned department achieves quality goals to meet NVR's Brand Promise; review quality standards and processes regularly and recommend improvements.
- Support plant leadership with recommendations to improve production methods, equipment, operating procedures, quality standards, efficiencies, and safety / working conditions.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance department to keep production areas functioning at a high level and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with Materials, Scheduling and Logistics to balance the schedule and maintain a steady flow of material into the production area.
- Determine staffing needs, manage hourly attendance, and ensure accuracy of timekeeping and attendance systems.
- Support plant management in hiring, disciplinary actions, and termination decisions; resolve employee issues through problem resolution and conduct employee investigations as needed.
