Job Title : Mobile Unit Driver

Reports to : Mobile Team Lead

Compensation : $30 / hour

Position Summary

The Mobile Unit Driver is responsible for the safe transport and operational readiness of the mobile clinic. This role ensures the vehicle is maintained, set up for daily use, and occasionally supports Safety, facilitates lunch breaks for administrative staff, or companion driving once the unit is deployed. Adaptability, safety awareness, and teamwork are critical.

Responsibilities

Driving & Vehicle Operations

  • Safely operate and drive the mobile clinic to designated community locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the unit is operational.
  • Ensure compliance with all traffic, safety, and company regulations.

Clinic Set-Up & Support

  • Assist in preparing the mobile clinic for daily operations, ensuring a welcoming and functional environment.
  • Support the team with logistical needs related to equipment, supplies, and unit readiness.
  • Help cover breaks to support staff, including but not limited to MSR duties and companion drivers.
  • May assist as Safety personnel or companion driver once the unit is parked and operational.
  • Fill in for administrative staff during breaks, greeting members and visitors warmly and ensuring continuity of member support.
  • Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with the mobile operations and clinical staff to ensure seamless setup and care delivery.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on operational improvement.
  • Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Washington State driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience operating large vehicles preferred (training provided if necessary).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must possess or obtain First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Additional Requirements

  • Must pass criminal background check, drug screening, and meet health / immunization requirements.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • No history of alcohol or drug misuse in the past 3 years and no evidence of misuse while employed.
