Senior Strategic HR Business Partner
Salary Range : $125,000 – $134,000
Position Overview
The Senior Strategic HRBP will serve as a trusted advisor and consultant to senior leadership, aligning HR strategy with operational goals. This is a highly visible role focused on proactive, data-driven people initiatives—not employee relations. The ideal candidate will be a confident, forward-thinking HR professional who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys driving cultural and strategic transformation.
This position is based in Richmond, VA and follows a hybrid schedule (4 days onsite / 1 day remote per week). The role includes regular travel to additional regional centers (approximately 75%) and periodic out-of-state travel for meetings, events, and leadership gatherings.
Strategic Workforce Planning & Organizational Design
- Partner with leaders to align workforce plans with long-term business goals.
- Lead organizational design initiatives and support transformation efforts.
- Analyze data to identify trends, capability gaps, and workforce needs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR Centers of Excellence and Operations on headcount planning and budgeting.
- Act as a strategic coach and advisor to leadership on team effectiveness, culture, and development.
- Drive talent planning, succession management, and leadership development programs.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to create scalable talent and learning initiatives.
- Champion a coaching-first culture and provide guidance on leadership practices and performance.
HR Analytics, Culture & Business Alignment
Utilize HR metrics and data analytics to inform and influence decision-making.Support initiatives that strengthen engagement, retention, and organizational culture.Collaborate with leaders to foster an inclusive, high-performance environment.Lead and support cultural alignment initiatives through proactive people strategies.Stakeholder Engagement & Continuous Improvement
Build trusted relationships with leaders and HR peers across multiple sites.Participate in strategic planning and contribute to enterprise-wide projects.Identify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced employee experience.Partner closely with the HR Centers of Excellence to ensure seamless program delivery.Qualifications
8+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years in a strategic HRBP role.Strong experience within complex multi-site environments.Proven background in workforce planning, organizational design, and leadership development.Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Professional certification (SPHR or SHRM-SCP) strongly preferred.Demonstrated ability to use HR data and analytics to drive business outcomes.Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.Must have a reliable vehicle and be comfortable traveling frequently within Virginia (mileage reimbursed).Ideal Candidate
