Job Description

The ideal candidate for this role is a journalist first and willing to pick up technical skills along the way. Reporting experience for a business publication is ideal. Someone who stays up to date on the latest news, is comfortable cold calling sources, comms reps, and analysts, and willing to dive into earnings reports will fit right in.

This position is covered under the Writers Guild of America East Collective Bargaining Agreement. Salary range : $76,000- $82,000. Compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, industry, and education.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside Executive Producers and newsroom editors to develop multimedia reporting.
• Effectively communicate changing deadlines, delays, and editing status.
• Coordinate shared projects, such as video promos for podcasts.
• Develop creative strategies for series or stories with multimedia potential.
• Provide support to colleagues when their work intersects with audio.
• Review and critique internally produced shows and stories.
• Maintain a creative and collaborative work environment.
