Associate Director Accounting
Responsible for North America GL accounting and reporting. Lead the GL accounting team activities and provide accurate and timely information to management and corporate Finance, including supervision of related GL accounting staff. Additional responsibilities as necessitated by business activities.
Oversee and manage accurate and timely monthly and quarterly closings of Teva USA and subsidiaries. Responsibilities include preparation and review of journal entries, preparation of working papers / schedules, review of all schedules and reconciliations, departmental analysis, and internal consolidation. Prior experience with intercompany reporting as well as FX transactions is strongly preferred.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements, automation opportunities and drive continued efficiencies.
Supervise and review the North American consolidation of Teva USA and its subsidiaries. Provide all quarterly analyses and disclosure forms with Corporate Accounting. Position will also be responsible for participating in the preparation and review of quarterly flux analyses.
Collaborate with Corporate Accounting team, other subsidiaries, and departments to provide information as requested and to resolve any accounting issues. Ability to perform and understand technical accounting research and to work with Corporate Accounting on the related impact to the North America financials. This position will work closely with other Teva sites across the world, as well as with Corporate Accounting, therefore, strong written and oral communication skills are required.
Investigate and resolve issues that arise within the GL team as well as assist other stakeholders across the organization with questions. Work closely with other departments to compile data and perform various financial analyses.
Supervise direct reports on the GL Accounting team. Assist with questions and issues in a timely manner. Work with direct reports to create goals and assist in helping them achieve their goals. Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and counseling to the team as needed. Responsible for ongoing process improvements and ensuring the team is working efficiently.
Participate in reviewing and adoption of new technical accounting standards and developments, including researching and reviewing the impact of the new guidance.
Assist in implementing accounting policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable accounting standards.
Participate in innovative technology selections.
Interaction with both external and internal auditors to support annual and quarterly reviews of respective areas. Maintain SOX compliance documentation for all areas of responsibility.
Other duties as assigned or as business needs require such as preparation of statutory financial statements.

- Timely and accurate accounting data and analysis provided to internal customers and to Corporate Accounting for external financial statement consolidation purposes.
- Timely and accurate information provided to external auditors to obtain positive affirmation of financial statements and internal control documentation.
Your experience and qualifications
