Position Summary : The Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) provides direct support to licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in the screening, treatment and documentation of speech and language disorders. The SLPA works under the supervision of a licensed SLP, assisting in delivery of speech therapy services to individuals of varying ages who may have speech, language, and communication disorders. The SLPA plays a crucial role in implementing therapy plans, providing individualized interventions, and supporting the overall goals of the therapy team.

Minimum Qualifications :

Education :

Bachelors degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CDIS)

Experience :

Previous experience working as an SLPA or SLPA extern to SLPA path

Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, Etc. :

Possess or ability to obtain and maintain an Oklahoma Teacher Certification in Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

Possess or ability to obtain and maintain an ASHA certificate and OBESPA Licensure
