  • Patient Volume / Census : 15–20 patients per shift; up to 25 during busy season

    • PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

  • Hospital Privileges Required : Yes
  • Credentialing Timeline : 60–90 days (fingerprinting required; typically 48 hours to post)
  • Orientation : 4 hours, non-billable

    • REQUIRED PROCEDURES

  • Emergency medicine procedures typical for a single-coverage ED physician
  • Management of neonates through geriatrics
  • Coordination of emergency support services

    • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Licenses : Active Minnesota license (Required)
  • Board : Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (Required)
  • DEA : Required
  • Certifications : ACLS, PALS, ATLS or CALS (Required)
  • Experience : Prior community site experience preferred
  • Other Qualifications : Experience with Epic EMR preferred

    • DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide emergency medicine coverage in a single-coverage ED setting
  • Manage 15–20 patients per shift, with seasonal increases to 25 patients
  • Deliver care across all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
  • Collaborate with available specialty and support staff including Ortho, Surgery, OB / GYN, CRNA, and Psych
  • Document all patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR
