The Opportunity We are seeking a Director of Pricing to lead our pricing and revenue strategy across all business lines. This strategic leadership role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing pricing policies that optimize profitability and support business growth. The Director of Pricing will oversee pricing operations, manage a team of analysts or managers, and collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Executive Leadership to ensure pricing strategies are market-competitive and operationally executable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Development :

    • o Set and drive enterprise-wide pricing strategy for LTL, truckload, and 3PL services

    o Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to the pricing team, ensuring goals and KPIs are aligned with company objectives

    o Monitor market trends, industry benchmarks, and customer behavior to guide pricing decisions

  • Executive Collaboration & Analytics :

    • o Partner with senior leadership to develop pricing models that support strategic planning, margin goals, and competitive positioning

    o Provide pricing performance reports and data-driven insights to executive stakeholders

    o Lead rate review processes, proposal development, and contract pricing approvals

  • Operational Execution & Compliance :

    • o Ensure compliance with customer agreements, government contracting regulations, and company policies

    o Oversee the accuracy of pricing implementation in billing systems and audit processes

    o Maintain pricing governance, internal controls, and documentation for all pricing activity

  • Carrier & Capacity Alignment :

    • o Collaborate with Carrier Relations and Sales to align pricing strategy with carrier capacity and cost structure

    o Support carrier sourcing efforts and provide guidance on rate negotiation strategy

    Skills & Attributes

  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and margin optimization
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including executive-level presentation
  • Proficiency with pricing systems, Microsoft Excel, and reporting tools
  • Deep knowledge of transportation pricing structures, bid strategy, and rate analysis
  • Ability to influence across teams and lead cross-functional initiativesRequirements :

    • Minimum Requirements

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA preferred
  • Experience : 7+ years of pricing, finance, or revenue management experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Background in transportation, logistics, or 3PL strongly preferred

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift and / or move up to 20-25 pounds.
  • Ability to navigate each department and the company’s facilities as needed.
