SENIOR ESTIMATOR – ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES

Our global EPC Firm client is hiring a
Senior Estimator – Environmental Services
for a full-time opportunity in Kansas City, MO.
The Senior Estimator will be responsible for leading Construction Design-Build and EPC estimates and proposals for various projects with a diverse portfolio of project types and clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead estimating strategy and implementation efforts.
- Review and approve project summary schedules for validity.
- Manage workload scheduling to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Lead risk review process.
- Ensure compliance with estimating methodology to produce quality estimates.
- Lead project team review for estimating quantities and scope of work.
- Review and approve quotes on bonds and insurance.
- Review and evaluate small and disadvantaged business solicitations.
- Lead subcontractor solicitation and pre-qualification reviews.
- Review and approve pricing for specialty and standard equipment.
- Verify subcontractor bid packages before transmitting for quotes.
- Present estimates to internal and external clients.
- Review final estimates before management review and proposal presentation.
- Lead estimating teams for pre-construction services.
- Manage cost history, database, and estimating processes.
- Approve general conditions, indirect costs, and review estimates with the project management team.
- Make final recommendations on fee, contingency, and escalation.
- Provide man-hour quotes for estimating efforts.
- Develop strategies for contract partnering agreements.
- Prepare and present estimating data for risk review.
- Verify and approve estimates for joint ventures.
- Review commercial terms and address risk issues.
- Validate value engineering items, alternates, and options.
- Ensure accuracy and validity of estimate clarifications and assumptions.
- Review documents for scope gaps and overlaps.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, with at least 7 years of project estimating experience, or applicable experience in lieu of degree.Ability to work independently or in teams, think creatively and analytically, and make quick, sound decisions.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ConEst, and K-base.OSHA 10-hour certification required.ESPO Corporation
