Job Summary
We're seeking a Senior Manager, Plant Operations who leads with empathy, accountability, and a deep commitment to people and culture. In this role, you'll be responsible for guiding daily plant operations at our Brownsville Facility while fostering strong relationships built on trust, respect, and open communication. You'll develop and support Associates, hold teams accountable to high standards, and handle challenges with professionalism and care. The ideal candidate is a steady, people-centered leader who will uphold our values and create a positive, high-performing workplace where both people and operations thrive.
What you need to be considered for the role :
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, Leadership, Industrial Tech or other related field required. An equivalent level of experience may be considered.Ten (10) years of related experience in high-level Operations Leadership / Management related positions, preferably in the food manufacturing industry, required.Cross-functional experience and training in other Operations functions such as Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Safety, etc.Knowledge and experience of lean principles and process optimization.Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local food and water regulations, including CFR, FSMA, the PMO, and Bioterrorism Act.Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.Ability to analyze data, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions.Demonstrated understanding of drivers of plant results, including ability to interpret financial results.General working knowledge of complex manufacturing.General working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning software (ERP).Participative management style and excellent organizational and communication skills.Demonstrated experience building a diverse, strong management team and promoting teamwork in multiple locations across all departments.Knowledge of safety-related issues, including compliance with State, Federal, and Local regulations.Labor relations experience. Strong business acumen and working knowledge of continuous improvement, equipment design and installation, project management, and financial reporting.Demonstrated experience building a solid leadership team.Ability to work closely in a team-based environment with associates at all levels in the organization.Experience leading people and obtaining results through others, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.Preferred :
Graduate Degree / MBA preferred.Certification in lean manufacturing, such as Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma preferred.
