Description : Candidate Type : NP (Nurse Practitioner); PA (Physician's Assistant). Job Type : Locum. Disciplines : SGL (Surgical Services).

Has a locum opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide Neurosurgery coverage at a medical center in central Michigan.

Opportunity Details :

  • Schedule : 7a-3 : 30p or 7a-5 : 30p, 4-5 days per week
  • Setting : Mostly inpatient
  • Census : 20-30 patients
  • Must be board-certified
  • Paid travel & lodging

This location offers a welcoming atmosphere with easy access to the Great Lakes and outdoor recreation.

Qualifications

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Active unencumbered Physician Assistant Michigan state license
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Physician Assistant program
  • One year of work experience as Physician Assistant
  • One year of EMR experience
  • Board Certified

    • SKILLS / ABILITIES / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED :

  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
  • A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
  • Effective interpersonal / communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
