About The Position

Job Title : Emergency Room Nurse

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid nursing license or multistate nursing license
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS or ENPC

Description :

Provide quality, compassionate patient care utilizing the nursing process to meet the needs of patients of all ages.

Perform age-specific patient care in a safe, timely, and professional manner utilizing professional practice.

Administer medications utilizing the 7 Rights : Right Drug, Right Client, Right Dose, Right Time, Right Route, Right Reason, and Right Documentation.

Demonstrate knowledge and skills to act appropriately in emergency situations.

Demonstrate knowledge and participate in education and counseling of patients and their families about plans of care and discharge teaching.

Demonstrate commitment to professional growth and competency.

Promote positive interpersonal relationships and demonstrate effective communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues.

Maintain confidentiality of all patient and hospital information.

Practice according to professional and ethical standards.

Participate in financial stewardship as evidenced by efficient use of resources and supplies.

Perform in accordance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulatory agency standards.

Perform all other duties associated with the professional role of a registered nurse.
