Job Summary : To ensure every skier or snowboarder has a valid day ticket or season pass before boarding a lift. On busy days, ticket scanners are also responsible for grouping people together to keep lift lines moving efficiently.

Essential Functions :

• Check to ensure every skier or snowboarder has a valid day ticket or season pass each time before boarding the lift, using RFID Axess technology.
• Answer guest questions by being familiar with Bolton Valley's layout, products, services and current conditions or by asking someone who can answer the guest's question
• Be familiar with the different ticket and pass types and able to identify fraudulent or counterfeit ticket use
• Be familiar with safety procedures and rules for riding the lifts and communicate these to the customers as necessary
• Be courteous and friendly when dealing with upset guests
• Organize passengers in lift lines to give appropriate physical distancing
• Maintain lift maze area, including shoveling and raking as necessary
• Be familiar with all emergency procedures, including how to contact Ski Patrol
• Assist in evacuation of a disabled lift
• Other customer service-oriented tasks as assigned, which may include working as a traffic circle greeter or parkling lot attendant as needed

NOTE : All Bolton Valley employees are required to perform alternate functions from time to time, both within and outside of their assigned department, particularly during peak periods such as holiday weekends.

Customer Service Expectations : With constant customer contact over the counter, will sometimes have to deal with upset and / or angry customers. Guest Services is the recipient of feedback and complaints, so employees must be prepared for this. Employee is expected to be courteous and professional in accordance with Bolton's commitment to providing superior customer service.

Work Environment : Work is primarily indoors with some outdoor tasks, including shoveling, sanding, and salting exterior stairs and entryways . The pace is fast, involving lots of information and questions in rapid succession.
