With a strong reputation for integrity, customer satisfaction, and technical excellence, we are looking to expand our leadership team with an experienced Inside AC Service Manager who will oversee service operations, support technicians, and ensure smooth departmental performance for residential and light commercial clients.
Position Summary The Inside Service Manager will oversee daily service department operations, including technician support, training, scheduling, customer service resolution, and operational tracking.
This role requires deep technical expertise in HVAC systems, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive accountability and performance within the service team.
Key Responsibilities - Provide technical expertise and support on advanced systems including :
- Trane Comfort Link2 & Link Communicating Systems; Lennox Harmony 3 & I Harmony Communicating Systems; Mitsubishi VRF; preferred experience with LRC and Whisper Kool refrigeration equipment. - Establish, track, and deliver technician and sales training programs; ensure continuity of learning and improvement. - Help maintain and oversee on-call schedule. - Manage refrigerant tracking and compliance. - Oversee van stock tracking, ordering, and inspections. - Lead technician recruiting, onboarding, and ride-alongs for new techs. - Provide daily tech support and real-time debriefs. - Review service tickets, send estimates, and manage product warranty processing. - Oversee ServiceTitan utilization and reporting (required experience). - Manage fleet operations including scheduling and maintenance. - Approve time cards, PTO requests, and track technician commissions. - Coach and discipline employees as needed to uphold HPHS Core Values - Resolve escalated customer disputes with professionalism. - Track pending parts, ensure timely follow-ups, and manage preventative maintenance agreements (PMAs). - Oversee on-call phones and tech scheduling. - Provide leadership, training, and accountability to ensure department goals are met.
- Qualifications - Minimum 10 years HVAC industry experience with strong technical knowledge. - Proven experience managing a team of service technicians. - Working knowledge of Service Titan (non-negotiable). - Hands-on expertise with HVAC communicating systems and VRF / VRV systems, mini-split, ducted, communicating, and 24- volt systems. - Strong organizational skills to track operations across multiple service areas. - Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills. - Ability to coach, mentor, advocate for and hold technicians accountable. -Ability to interpret service manuals and wiring schematics. -Maintains professionalism under pressure .-EPA Certification - Must be able to pass a drug screening, MVR, and background check.
