Basic Job Functions

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. The role of the Hot Metal Crane Operator is to safely operate the crane during operations and during times of maintenance at the facility. The qualified candidate must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and unscheduled overtime, rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
• Ability to withstand working conditions with elevated temperatures.
• Ability to lift moderate to heavy weight (50 lbs.)
