About The Position

Job Title : Pharmacy Technician

Certifications : CPhT required

Must-Have :

• Certification in pharmacy technology
• Active state license
• Experience in outpatient pharmacy settings
• Ability to handle medication errors and recalls
• Experience in order entry and data entry processes

Description :

Most shifts are Monday through Friday from 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM.

Some shifts may start as early as 7 AM and extend to 7 PM depending on location.

Weekend coverage is required every fourth weekend with weekday compensation days.

Travel experience is required for this position.

Duties include compounding sterile and non-sterile products.

Technicians must maintain formulary approved product lists.

Responsibilities include ordering, receiving, and maintaining stock levels.

Technicians will be tasked with labeling requirements and the medication order entry process.

Experience with third-party reimbursement systems is required.

Floating to different locations may be necessary.

Proper storage and packaging of medications is essential.

A tech license must be applied for prior to the start date if not already active.

Two references from a charge nurse or higher are required at the time of submission.

Familiarity with Cerner systems is preferred.
