Description :

The Machinist II is responsible for following instructions given by the Production Manager to execute all component manufacture successfully. The goal is to efficiently design and manufacture components and systems that are safe, innovative, and of high quality. The Machinist will represent the Company and its values and will ensure that the expectations of the Company’s customers are exceeded by performing the following :

Duties and Responsibilities :

1. Load and operate CNC machines such vertical and horizontal mill, router.

2. Load and operate manual machines such as vertical and horizontal mills, lathes, and surface grinder.

3. Operate equipment to cut parts with straight, angle and miter cuts.

4. Capable of reading and understanding decimal scale and use of scales, protractors, and calipers.

5. Can understand and locate revision levels on drawings, specifications, and materials.

6. Knowledgeable about different materials and their properties relative to machining and processing.

7. Maintain documentation such as work orders and parts tags.

3. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

4. Basic computer skills, clocking in / out, record work order data as needed. Able to navigate folders and locate drawings, specifications and other information required to complete assigned tasks.

5. Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical engineering drawings.

6. Experienced in the role, has aerospace experience.

7. Individual contributor that requires limited supervisor input to complete assigned tasks.

8. Possesses a toolbox with basic tools per the list provided by Knight Aerospace.

9. Understand and comply with safety policies, ensures self and others in the area are wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Requirements : Qualifications :

1. High school diploma / GED.

2. Minimum Four years of related machining experience, or.

3. Minimum two years of experience machining aerospace components.

Work Environment Requirements :

1. Full-Time Position.

2. Warehouse and manufacturing environment.
