Overview
Dining Room Manager position at Tradition Senior Living, LP (Houston – Woodway). Tradition Senior Living is a Texas-based luxury senior living organization offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care across Dallas, Houston, and Fort Worth. Responsibilities
- Train, supervise, and motivate team members
- Labor management and adherence to scheduled hours
- Purchase within company guidelines and manage inventory
- Track revenue for accurate meal counts and ensure budget compliance
- Ensure style, quality, and timeliness of meal service; maintain high food quality
- Maintain cleanliness of dining room and service areas
- Oversee meal presentation, including plating appeal, entree availability, and timeliness
- Manage guest relations and effective resident / guest communication
- Maintain resident and guest meal records
- Adhere to cleaning schedules and manage inventory
- Fulfill physical requirements of the role (frequent walking, standing, lifting up to 50 lbs)
Qualifications
At least one year of management and supervisory experience in a restaurant setting or equivalent experience and educationKnowledge of restaurant-style service and meal timingSense of urgency in resident and guest serviceAbility to foster a harmonious, team-oriented working environmentAbility to read, write, and communicate in EnglishHighly organized with strong day-to-day operations skills in food serviceEffective communication and people skillsHigh sanitation and safety standardsPersonable and people-orientedBasic computer skills; strong organizational and time-management abilitiesGood judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skillsAbout the Role
The Dining Room Manager reports directly to the Director of Dining, who oversees day-to-day operations of the community's Food & Beverage department.
