This position is in direct support of the Kuwait Air Defense Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program with the US Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) Security Assistance Management Directorate (SAMD). It is a senior level role requiring extensive knowledge of the PATRIOT Weapon System and Air Defense Operations.

Overview

The selectee will serve as a Kuwait PATRIOT Air and Missile Defense Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of the Kuwait PATRIOT team and Kuwait Air Defense Program at Redstone Arsenal. The incumbent will provide Kuwait Air & Missile Defense Operations and Maintenance advice and assistance, cleared by and at the direction of the AMCOM SAMD International Program Manager (IPM).

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on logistics functions and processes for the PATRIOT Weapon System, including Fielding operations, Maintenance and Training.
• Offer technical support and operational / maintenance services for the PATRIOT Fire Units in garrison and non-combat locations.
• Support Kuwait PATRIOT team on all aspects of PATRIOT operations, maintenance, and training.
• Consult on issues requiring resolution by the AMCOM SAMD IPM.
• Utilize knowledge of logistics databases such as LMP, GCCS-Army, I3 Log, and related systems.
• Travel to CONUS locations up to 5 times per year and to Kuwait up to 3 times per year; obtain a SECRET security clearance.
