Job Title
The Medical Affairs + Health Impact Finance team supports the MHI SVP and leadership team in strategic planning and execution of both current and long-term goals for the Therapeutic Area Business Units, Value & Evidence, International, Medical Engagement and Strategy & Innovation organizations. This position is responsible for financial planning and analysis related to Plan, Update, LBE and LRP as well as month end close.
Major Responsibilities :
- Responsible for all planning cycles (Plan / Update, LRP and LBE) including meaningful commentary and analysis.
- Responsible for executive summaries and presentations to senior management / VPs.
- Responsible for financial close activities, including accruals and reclasses.
- Responsible for ensuring monthly financial results are delivered accurately and timely and executive summaries with commentary are prepared and delivered to the senior management / VPs.
- As primary MHI Finance contact for MHI OUS, partner with Commercial Finance on Plan, LRP and International VP reporting and ad hoc requests.
Accountability / Scope :
Support MHI by providing financial guidance and execution of consolidated Plans / Updates / LBEs. A demonstrated strength in all core and functional competencies, with emphasis in initiative, problem solving, and adaptability is needed in this role. This individual will be an integral member of the functional team, working closely with both Finance and operations Directors and Vice Presidents. Therefore, strong interpersonal communication, analytical, leadership, and judgment skills are essential.
Problem Solving :
Ability to present financial or sensitive topics to senior level operational personnel. Obtain understanding of the business to translate plans and requested actions into their financial impact which can be understood by senior management.
Ability to ensure that expense forecasts make sense and willingness to work constructively with operations personnel to provide financial guidance and ensure compliance to policy.
Qualifications :
Education / Experience Required :BA in Accounting or Finance, CPA / MBA a plus6+ years of progressive Accounting or Finance experience preferredStrong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skillsSelf-starter with ability to operate independently, identify and implement process improvements, establish and adjust priorities to achieve objectives and operate with speed and agilityExcellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to confidently support multiple VPs within function and to influence others that do not report directlyAdditional Information :
The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
