Automation Controls Engineer needed for direct hire just south of Portland, ME. This is an exciting opportunity to be working on best-in-class technology serving top clients such as NASA.

Location : Biddeford, Maine

Job type : Permanent

Salary : $90,000 - $130,000 per year

Work hours : 8am to 4pm

Education : Bachelor's degree

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new equipment for future production systems
  • Lead automation and control system integration of new PLC and robotic systems
  • Work with internal and external customers during development of process
  • Use Lean and Six Sigma tools in identifying and implementing process improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5+ years of experience in an automation and industrial environment
  • Proven knowledge of SCADA systems
  • Industrial controls experience (AC and DC power)
  • Knowledge of PLC and robotics programming
  • CAD software experience required SolidWorks preferred
  • Demonstrated results in problem solving within process development role
  • Experience with industrial tools and equipment preferred
  • Must have superior written communication skills
