Security Officer - Access Control Patrols

As a Security Officer - Access Control Patrols in Thomson, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, conducting routine access control checks, and remaining visible to support a welcoming atmosphere. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate : $14.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Mon 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Fri 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Sat 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activities or conditions.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and / or irregularities encountered during shifts.
  • Communicate with site personnel and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters and site needs.
  • Assist with enforcing company policies related to visitor and employee access, deliveries, and property movement within the logistics and distribution environment.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
