• Experience in understanding and usage of computers, including Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to learn applications relevant to the position.

Description :

In this position, the Sonographer performs Ultrasound procedures in order to obtain desired imaging results according to physicians' specifications.

This includes transferring patients for examinations and assisting with the Ultrasound examination process.

Responsible for the appropriate operation of all Ultrasound imaging and related equipment.

Educates, positions, immobilizes, and performs Ultrasound procedures appropriately.

Coordinates Ultrasound examinations to ensure timeliness, quality, and continuity of patient care.

Understands and follows provider imaging orders correctly.

Submits required images and related clinical information to the Radiologist for interpretation.

Evaluates image quality appropriately.

Maintains open, accurate, and responsive communication with patients, coworkers, Radiologists, and leadership.

Utilizes, charges, and maintains department supplies appropriately.

Practices sterile technique and follows infection prevention policies.

Handles multiple tasks / projects effectively and meets deadlines.

Safely performs Ultrasound procedures, including patient transfer.
