DC Route Driver

Commercial Truck Driver

Operate a commercial truck in the company fleet and provide safe, timely, and quality deliveries. Follow company policies, procedures, and DOT regulations in execution of duties.

Essential Job Functions

• Responsible for the safe operation of any company vehicle and keeping the inside of the vehicle clean.
• Run routes as designed by the company including the order of stops, direction of route, and roads used.
• Run routes in a reasonable amount of time, according to set guidelines.
• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections as published in FMCSA regulations 396.11 and O'Reilly policy and keep track of Hours of Service (HOS) by utilizing the company telematics and / or paper logs as instructed in part 395 of the Federal Motor Carrier Regulations.
• Deliver all merchandise on the truck to the proper location according to the freight bill and the freight bill and store location sticker should be checked to ensure proper delivery.
• Verify all manifested returns and return them to the DC.
• Responsible for securing the load, all doors, and alarms before and after each stop.
• Run any route as needed or required by supervisor.
• All other duties as assigned.
