Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Smyrna, TN (37167) – near Nashville healthcare jobs Assignment Length : 6 weeks Start Date : November 17, 2025 End Date : December 29, 2025 Shift : 12-hour nights (19 : 00-07 : 00) Hours per Week : 36 Unit : Women’s Services (Labor & Delivery, 9 beds, 3 swing rooms, 2 ORs, 3-bed OBED) Weekend Requirement : 4 weekend shifts per month Estimated Weekly Salary : $2200-$2360 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Tennessee or compact state Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring Strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a clinical setting Ability to support patient choice and promote vaginal birth opportunities Advanced skills such as Spinning Babies and STABLE preferred Experience with CPN and Meditech documentation systems is a plus L&D Nurse Responsibilities Provide exceptional nursing care to laboring patients and support personalized birth experiences Circulate in the operating room (OR) and assist with procedures including IUPC, FSE, MgSO4 administration, postpartum hemorrhage management (JADA system), and nitrous oxide use Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including midwives, CRNAs, and OBGYNs Float to mother / baby or other hospital departments as needed Maintain patient experience scores above 75% Promote couplet care and breastfeeding, utilizing donor milk when necessary Participate in a laborist team model with 24 / 7 support from midwives and dedicated CRNA Join a department recognized as an HCA Unit of Distinction and a TIPQC Pilot Hospital for NTSV and Team Birth.
