Corporate Controller
The Corporate Controller will oversee all aspects of the accounting function and serve as a key financial leader within the organization. This role will manage a multi-entity accounting environment, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, team leadership, and continuous process improvement.
This is a hybrid or remote position based on the East Coast. The selected candidate will spend the first 12 weeks onsite for onboarding and will be expected to visit the office once per month thereafter.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, and intercompany activity.
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering accountability, collaboration, and performance excellence.
- Manage monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring accurate financial statements and reporting within tight deadlines.
- Partner with FP&A to deliver comprehensive financial analysis and strategic insights to leadership.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Drive improvements in financial systems, reporting processes, and automation initiatives.
- Develop and document accounting procedures and training materials to support internal controls and operational consistency.
- Coordinate annual audits, serving as the primary liaison with external auditors.
- Provide financial oversight and guidance on business initiatives, cost optimization, and capital planning.
- Champion continuous improvement efforts to streamline processes and enhance data accuracy across departments.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a Controller or similar leadership role.Experience within manufacturing, agricultural, or production-based environments preferred.Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.Proven experience leading accounting teams and managing multi-entity consolidations.Demonstrated success in process improvement and system implementation projects.Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
