Job Summary :
Network Engineer II plays a critical role in designing and managing the network infrastructure of Visionary, ensuring high-quality internet services are delivered to customers. This role involves tasks such as network planning and design, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Network Engineering team collaboration and support while staying updated with emerging technologies to enhance network performance.
Key Responsibilities :
Collaborate within a team to plan network growth and advancement as well as new network additions.
Configure and deploy new network devices according to the approved designs and documentation.
Perform regular maintenance tasks like firmware upgrades, patches, and security updates.
Diagnose and resolve network-related problems, including connectivity issues, outages, and performance bottlenecks.
Implement security measures to safeguard the network from cyber threats and attacks.
Provide network capacity planning as needed for continued network growth and stability.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and processes.
Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in networking.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Project Management, Network Support and Administration, Sales Engineering, and Field Service Operations, to ensure seamless service delivery.
Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation to provide after-hours support for critical network issues. Respond promptly to incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
