Electrical Test / Electrical Assembly and Test Technician

Role : Electrical Test Technician (Both 1st and 2nd Shifts)

Location : Henrico, VA

Job Summary :

The Electrical Test Technician is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and verifying the performance of power distribution equipment such as PDUs, switchgear, STS, and related assemblies. This role ensures all equipment meets quality, safety, and performance standards through precise testing and documentation.

Key Responsibilities :

Conduct factory testing using electrical instruments (multimeters, current meters, HI-POT testers, etc.).

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and testing procedures to ensure compliance with specifications.

Record and analyze test data using software tools like Modbus Poll, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat .

Inspect incoming electrical components, perform repairs, and document results.

Collaborate across departments to resolve technical issues and maintain product standards.

Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant test environment .

Requirements :

High school diploma or GED with 1 2 years of electrical testing experience, or military / technical training in electronics.

Preferred : Associate degree in electronics or engineering.

Experience with low-voltage power systems , data center equipment, and familiarity with NFPA 70E, NEC, UL, and IEC standards.

Strong knowledge of AC / DC power distribution, 3-phase systems , and circuit-level troubleshooting.

Proficient in using hand tools, test equipment , and computer-based data logging.

Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to safety .
