Operations Transition Project Manager

BAE Systems has an exciting opportunity for an experienced program management leader to lead a factory transition and Operations Ramp 2 Rate project. As the Operations Transition Project Manager, reporting directly to the Deputy Vice President of Operations, this role oversees the management of the factory transition and business continuity, mitigating disruptions to production execution and business performance. This role is also tasked with the opportunity to create a best-in-class transition and move process. Primary responsibilities include :

Strategic Leadership : Provide strategic leadership and guidance to ensure successful project transition, meeting budget and schedule requirements.

Communication : Communicate project requirements, objectives, and expectations to internal teams and subcontractors, ensuring everyone is aligned and working towards common goals.

Project Oversight : Oversee the transition project, coordinating efforts across facilities, capital equipment, & product transfers to ensure a seamless execution.

Risk Management : Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans and escalating issues as needed to ensure minimal impact on budget and schedule.

Team Leadership : Foster a high-performing team through effective leadership, motivation, and influence, promoting collaboration and teamwork across the transition team.

Documentation : Identify and document program progress, including implementation, timelines, issues, risks, and quality metrics, to inform future project planning and improvement.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills :

• Bachelor's Degree
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain logistics, and quality management systems.
• Ability to present to senior executives and customers; ability to translate complex topics, convince, and inspire through the written and spoken word.
• Ability to gain internal support, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, and establish a solid working relationship with senior management, technical staff, and peers within the sector.
• Ability to obtain a secret clearance.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Pay Information :

Full-Time Salary Range : $150,370 - $255,630.
