Location : Cypress, TX
Schedule : Monday – Friday | 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM
Pay Rate : Based on experience (35 hr - 50 hr)
On-Call : May be required for emergencies (disaster, severe weather, etc.)
Travel : Within and outside the Houston Metro Area
About the Role
Dean’s Professional Services is actively seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist II to join a leading healthcare organization in Houston, TX. The Mammography Technologist II is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic and screening mammograms, as well as specialized procedures such as biopsies and bone density exams.
This role requires strong technical ability, sound clinical judgment, and a commitment to excellence in patient care. The ideal candidate will also serve as a mentor for junior technologists and students, promoting teamwork and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialized mammography exams, including biopsies and bone density studies.
- Ensure high-quality imaging results while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional breast procedures.
- Maintain compliance with all radiation safety, infection control, and MQSA standards.
- Conduct equipment quality control and promptly report any malfunctions.
- Document all procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to entry-level technologists and students.
- Participate in department quality initiatives and process improvement efforts.
Qualifications
Education :
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Mammography program.Experience :
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist.Licenses & Certifications :
CMRT – Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (Texas Medical Board)ARRT (R) – Radiologic Technologist, RadiographyARRT (M) – Radiologic Technologist, MammographyBLS – Basic Life Support (AHA)Skills :
Proficiency in imaging systems and hospital / radiology information software.Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and clinical judgment.Excellent communication and patient interaction skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks independently while maintaining quality standards.Work Attire
