Sales Associate / Jr. Account Executive

Pyka is looking for a motivated and adaptable Sales Associate professional to help grow our customer base and support our expanding sales operations. In this role, you will be responsible partially for direct customer engagement and back-end administrative support. You'll work closely with the sales and marketing team to identify leads, respond to inquiries, and assist with the preparation of proposals, presentations, and product information. Over time you will take on direct sales account responsibility under the leadership of the Chief Commercial Officer.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You'll support the sales pipeline by maintaining CRM records, tracking customer interactions, and coordinating product demos or shipments. You may also be involved in drafting quotes, processing orders, and helping prepare for trade shows or industry events. A proactive attitude, strong communication skills, willingness to travel (domestic and internationally) and the ability to quickly learn our products and applications are essential.

About Pyka

Pyka's goal is to provide society with a new form of safe, clean, and cost-effective transportation enabled by autonomous electric aviation. To get there, we're taking a different approach than most. We're applying our technologies to every industry where autonomous electric aircraft can be useful, starting with the highest value and most dangerous jobs. In doing so, we're building game-changing products manufactured at scale, while perfecting the safety, reliability, and capabilities of our autonomy engine and electric propulsion systems.

We design, develop and manufacture an ecosystem of technologies including proprietary flight control software, avionics, high power density motors, motor controllers, batteries, and custom carbon-fiber composite airframes.

Today, we supply autonomous electric aircraft for cargo transport and crop protection to real-world customers across four separate continents and have secured industry-first regulatory approvals from the FAA.

Our cargo aircraft enables remote connectivity, enhances express delivery networks, and ensures fast and reliable shipping of critical supplies to areas in need. Our crop protection aircraft offers agricultural services providers and farmers an autonomous tool to make aerial application safer, more precise, and less harmful to surrounding environments. Both vehicles are highly economical to operate, easy to deploy, and significantly reduce CO2 emissions in their respective industries.

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming emails, calls, and website inquiries from prospective and existing customers, providing timely and accurate information about products and services.
  • Assist in identifying new business opportunities through market research, outreach, and follow-up with potential clients.
  • Help create and organize presentations, product brochures, pricing sheets, and proposal documents tailored to client needs.
  • Update and manage customer records, sales activity, and deal progress in the company's CRM platform to ensure data accuracy and pipeline visibility.
  • Assist in drafting quotes, processing purchase orders, and coordinating with operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
  • Schedule and support virtual or on-site product demos, acting as a liaison between the customer and technical teams.
  • Compile and report on key sales metrics, such as conversion rates, customer engagement, and sales pipeline status, to help inform strategy.
  • Help plan and execute company presence at industry events, including booth setup, logistics coordination, and follow-up with leads.
  • Maintain regular contact with prospects and customers, supporting relationship development and long-term customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with marketing, engineering, and operations teams to ensure customer needs are met and product feedback is communicated effectively.
  • Attend selective customer meetings, virtually and in person, write meeting report and grow into direct account responsibility.
  • Organize travel and meeting arrangements for Pyka senior management visits to Brazil.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in sales or finance departments of technology organizations.
  • Ideally bilingual in English / Spanish.
  • Strong interest in the aviation or drone industry.
  • Basic knowledge of aerial application operations and competitor products.
  • Strong understanding of sales value drivers.
  • Independent and motivated self-starter.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Position will be based at Pyka's HQ in Alameda, CA and willing to travel extensively.

  • $78,000$92,000 per year base salary + equity. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Salary ranges are subject to change.
