Your Impact as a Nursing Assistant :

The Nursing Assistant (NA) plays a crucial role in providing compassionate care to residents in our long-term care facility. Your responsibilities will include :

Delivering resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the guidance of a registered nurse (RN).
Participating in a multidisciplinary nursing team, ensuring compliance with infection prevention and control policies.
Assisting residents with personal care needs, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
Obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing emotional support to enhance residents' well-being.
Supporting residents during meals and creating a positive dining experience.
Documenting resident care, communicating any changes in condition to nursing staff, and collecting non-invasive body fluid specimens.
Upholding cleanliness and comfort in residents' living spaces through housekeeping and laundry tasks.
Encouraging resident engagement in wellness and recreational activities.
Contributing to committees and task forces to improve our services.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Minimum age of 16. Previous experience in long-term care is a plus.

Must have Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or obtain it within four months of starting by enrolling in a training program.

Complete annual competency testing and maintain continuing education credits (12 hours required annually).

Compliance with UAP Registry if applicable.

Maintain a valid driver’s license and meet medical qualifications for driving if applicable.
