Hours per Shift : 10 hours

Experience : 2+ years of experience required

License : State Licenses required

Certifications : ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA) required

Must-Have : Epic Experience preferred

Description :

This position cares for patients before, during, and after angiography and interventional procedures.

Responsibilities include pre-procedure assessment, pre-medication, documentation of the catheterization process, post-cath care, and patient education.

The nurse must scrub in for procedures and assist other members of the catheterization laboratory.

Perform nursing care of the catheterization / angiography patient.

Operate equipment such as cardiac output monitors, hemodynamic devices, pacemakers / ICDs, and intra-aortic balloon pumps.

Transfer patients, stock supplies, and perform basic office procedures.

Scrub in for procedures with the physician.

Record all pertinent information on appropriate data sheets.
