Travel Medical Technologist – ASCP

Location : Gadsden, AL

Duration : 13 weeks

Start : 10 / 20 / 2025

Shift : 2 : 00 PM – 12 : 30 AM, 12-hour shifts on a 7-on / 7-off schedule

Requirements :

MT certification (ASCP) required

BLS required

Minimum 1 year Medical Technologist experience

Cerner EMR experience required

Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field

Role Summary :

The Travel Medical Technologist performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to assist physicians in diagnosing and monitoring disease states. Responsibilities include :

Preparing and analyzing patient samples according to standardized procedures

Ensuring accuracy, acceptability, and critical limit adherence in test results

Maintaining proper documentation in Cerner EMR

Applying professional judgment and technical expertise to accomplish daily laboratory goals

Collaborating with laboratory staff and supervisors for efficient workflow
