Aegis Worldwide are seeking a skilled Welder with hands-on experience in MIG and TIG welding to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work, values safety, and can follow technical drawings and specifications with precision.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate welding machines and equipment (MIG and TIG).

Weld, cut, and grind aluminum of varying thicknesses.

Tack-weld or weld components and assemblies using electric, gas, arc, or other welding methods.

Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to blueprints or specifications.

Perform welding in multiple positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead) using manual or semi-automatic equipment.

Adjust valves, amperage, and voltage to obtain proper flame or arc.

Conduct routine preventive maintenance on welding equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions as needed.

Complete production and quality logs to document work.

Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, and fixtures) to inspect parts and ensure accuracy.

Maintain a high standard of quality by following “do it right the first time” principles.

Adhere to all safety rules and wear appropriate protective equipment (face shield, gloves, PPE).

Qualifications

1+ years of MIG and TIG welding experience or equivalent training.

AWS D1.2 Certification in MIG and TIG (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire).

Successful completion of weld test.

Proficiency with welding tools, equipment, and various fabrication procedures.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents.

Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.

Knowledge of welding safety standards and proper equipment use.
